UCSB's Professional Writing Minor

The Writing Program at UC Santa Barbara accepts ieiMedia’s Berlin Project, led by former faculty member Nomi Morris, as one of the three upper-division prerequisite courses for the Professional Writing Minor.

Students may complete this international reporting course after their first, second or third year.

UCSB students do not need to pay for additional credit via ieiMedia to apply this course toward the Professional Writing Minor — whether the journalism track or any other. Rather, a waiver form is completed at the time of matriculation, when graduating with the minor. However, if a UCSB student would like to use this course as a substitute elective toward their major, they must order and pay for the transfer credits. Please contact Berlin program director Nomi Morris with additional questions.
