Janet Kalunian: Web Manager and Content Specialist

Janet works on our website maintenance and content authoring and has many skills honed through her background in both study abroad and technology. She studied abroad in Oxford, England while a student at Connecticut College and later earned an M.S. in College Student Personnel from the University of Rhode Island. 

Janet has had a variety of experiences in higher education and the private sector. After graduate school, she worked at Brown University's Watson Institute for International Studies and later spent several years as an Associate Director for Operations in the study abroad offices at both Boston College and Brown University. Her responsibilities included student advising, semester and summer program management, marketing initiatives, website and database oversight, transcript evaluation, budget maintenance, and staff supervision. Since leaving Brown, Janet has held technical roles that utilize her website management and design skills - including web maintenance at a bank; teaching Drupal CMS; and serving as a content author at a digital experience consultancy specializing in Adobe solutions. She has travelled extensively for work and pleasure, and has presented at several professional conferences. 

Although she spent several years living in (and loving) the Boston area, Janet is a native Rhode Islander and currently resides there. She is very excited about joining the ieiMedia team and putting her skills to use by maintaining its website.
