Niacka Carty (she/her) joins the ieiMedia Admissions team with higher education experience working at both community college and four-year universities in New York and Washington. D.C. She started a career in the higher education field at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York, and at New York University in New York, New York. In the former role, she assisted the Department of Scheduling with advising students for their program of study, and in the latter role,  she assisted Academic Affairs with evaluating student programs.
After completing her MA degree, she joined the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. working at the Global Partnership for Education. There, she assisted the Private Sector/Business Community sub-team of the GPE Secretariat. She led the operational planning of the Education Data Solutions Roundtable work and supported country data and private sector education investment research.
Currently, Niacka works as an Academic Department Administrator at George Washington University, where she manages the WGSS BA and MA program via graduate student recruitment, alumni engagement, and more.
Niacka holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Area Studies from Drexel University and a Master’s degree in International Education from New York University. A few of her education interests include early childhood education intervention, global education opportunities for U.S. minorities, higher education reform, and above all, curriculum development at all learning levels.
