Alumni Ambassador Program

ieiMedia Alumni Ambassadors increase awareness of education abroad. The program’s goal is to empower alumni to become ieiMedia Alumni Ambassadors, contributing to our mission of encouraging students to study abroad and become responsible storytellers of the world. While ieiMedia is ready to help journalism majors and those majoring in related fields such as media studies and international relations, we want to extend our study abroad programs to all majors.   

Time Needed:

Ambassadors spend approximately 5-10 hours on program tasks throughout the semester, with flexibility in how and when these requirements are completed. As an Ambassador, your primary responsibility is to connect with students and share your ieiMedia Study Abroad experience. 

Activities:

The ieiMedia Team will collaborate with you to brainstorm ideas tailored to your schedule and campus. Some outreach examples include: 

  • Pop-in Sessions: Help coordinate brief 10-minute “pop-in sessions” with professors, student clubs, organizations, or Greek life chapters. We provide a PowerPoint presentation and talking points, allowing you to share an overview of ieiMedia programs alongside your personal insights.
  • Campus Events: Assist ieiMedia staff at education abroad fairs, help with student panels, or speak one-on-one with students interested in studying abroad.

ieiMedia Support:

ieiMedia will periodically send updates with opportunities for involvement and ideas for spreading the word. Ambassadors can also contribute by:

  • Forwarding information from ieiMedia to friends with a personal note
  • Following and sharing ieiMedia content on social media
  • Creating and sharing posts about your study abroad experience
  • Discussing ieiMedia programs with classmates

Ambassador Rewards:

ieiMedia recognizes that supporting an ambassador’s time and effort is important. We have created ways in which an Alumni Ambassador can promote our programs while being rewarded for their results. As a show of our appreciation, we have a rewards system based on applicant referrals. For each applicant who provides your referral code and pays their $50 application fee, ieiMedia will send the Alumni Ambassador who referred them a $25 Amazon gift card. 

Furthermore, Alumni Ambassador’s receive a $100 Amazon gift card for each referred student who goes abroad with ieiMedia!

Referral Code:

Your referral code will be sent to you via email upon acceptance of the position. Please use it when you refer a student and share it during information sessions to help us track your Ambassador Rewards.
