A Tuesday morning in Cagli-Tuesday in Cagli means the work begins once again. The day started with an in house fire drill. I found out later that it was just a trickster roomie playing a joke with his alarm clock. I went to sleep the night before listening to Coldplay's "A rush of blood to the head." I learned exactly what that meant Tuesday morning. The blood indeed rushed to my head, and the oxygen disappeared from my lungs as I yelled, "What the hell is that!" More air and less school is what I immediately thought next. After HTML class and a sharp mochaccino, my eyes started remembering faces and names. Coffee works wonders. Especially Italian coffee. Yep, the coffee drinkers out in the Piazza are much cooler then the Seattle Starbucks cult.
I was in this bed when the alarm went off.

I found this waterfall while exploring.
Thursday in Cagli-While sitting in the Piazza under the shelter of Caffé D'Italia's yellow awning, I sink my teeth into a great hamburger. Whenever I get homesick, Caffé D'Italia gives me the chance to feel at home. I eat hamburgers all the time in the States and here in Italy not much has changed. After lunch, stomach full, I enjoy getting lost in the beautiful hills surrounding Cagli with nothing but my walkman. This gives me the opportunity I need to hike which is another passion of mine. Eventually, I hope to get a map or ask some locals where to go before I get really lost. So far my explorations have led me to a basketball court, a waterfall, and a river. It seems like every time I go into the town or explore the forest I find another interesting shop or scenic spot. Each day is an adventure in Cagli.
